ReVerb10: Day 21♥

December 21 – Future Self. Imagine yourself five years from now. What advice would you give your current self for the year ahead? (Bonus: Write a note to yourself 10 years ago. What would you tell your younger self?) (Author: Jenny Blake)

Hey 2010 Netta,

Currently, you are content with the way things are in your life BUT you are not truly happy. Be advised that there is no true joy in complacency. 2011 is going to be a year of ACTION. Things have never been simply handed to you and this upcoming year wont be any different. What must change however is your drive and determination to go out and get whats rightfully yours! You have to be proACTIVE in situations as it pertains to finances, career moves, marital growth, and educational goals. This will be YOUR year of growth, renewal, and success… as long as you strive to reach your full potential, you will! I see great success in 2011. Brace yourself… be ready… and smile! True fulfillment is just around the corner.

Love You,

2011 Netta

Dear 14-year-old Netta,

You have so much going for you… so much intelligence, creativity, and drive. You can conquer the world if you so desire. You have a great, closeknit circle of friends who love you for you. Although your family life isnt the greatest, you have a wonderful relationship with your grandmother. I must warn you, things will change drastically in the years ahead. Life is fairly easy now… everyone loves you NOW… but the tides will shift and it is then that you will really see what being alone feels like. I dont say this to scare you, or to make you nervous. I am letting you know so you can be prepared, although there is really no way to prepare for the road ahead. Your life wont turn out the way you have it planned in your head. Your dreams and goals may very well be mere dreams and goals many years from now… but you must hold on to those ambitions because at some point you will realize your full potential and those dreams will become your reality. Dont focus too much on the path you desire to take but allow God to lead you to the path He desires you to take. Remain confident. Love yourself above all else… and keep God first. ♥

Love you,

24-year-old Netta
